I still remember being a little girl, sneaking into my mother's closet to twirl in her sequined dresses and oversized heels. Those moments in front of the mirror—draped in satin and daydreaming of runway shows—sparked a lifelong love affair with fashion. As I grew, that love only intensified; fashion became my language of self-expression and joy.

Growing up in a family where money was tight, I learned to get creative. I spent weekends thrifting, stitching up old clothes, and styling hand-me-downs to make them my own. It taught me a powerful lesson: great style isn't about a price tag — it's about how it makes you feel. That belief became my compass, guiding every step of my journey.

From Fashion Lover to Founder

What started as an obsession with dressing up soon evolved into a calling. After years of working a 9-to-5 and daydreaming about fashion during office meetings, I finally took a leap of faith — it was time to bring my vision to life.

I swapped out my office attire for bold new ideas and countless late-night brainstorming sessions. With a small savings and a big dream, I launched MyBougieShop from my living room. In those early days, I was the buyer, the stylist, the packer, and even the customer support — and I loved every second. Every time I shipped out an order, I thought about the person opening that package, hoping they'd feel the same sparkle I felt whenever I discovered something fabulous.
